Yogurt Honey Bread

Yogurt, honey, nutmeg and lemon peel add a lively and unusual tang to this easy quick bread. Paired with All-Bran® cereal for extra fiber and nutrients, this might just become your new favorite loaf. A lovely change of pace for the whole family.

  • 1 cup Kellogg's® All-Bran® Original cereal
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2/3 cup plain low-fat yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel


1. Stir together Kellogg's® All-Bran® cereal, flours, soda, salt and nutmeg. Set

2. In large mixing bowl, beat remaining ingredients until well blended. Add cereal
mixture, stirring only until combined. Spread evenly in 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 21/2 -inch loaf
pan coated with cooking spray.

3. Bake at 350°F about 35 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 5 minutes before
removing from pan. Cool completely before slicing.

Yield: 1 loaf
