Toasted White Cheddar, Bacon and Apple Wafflewiches

Bacon, apple butter, fresh apple slices and white cheddar cheese fill these toasty sandwiches. Serve them for breakfast or lunch.

  • 3 Kellogg’s® Eggo® Homestyle waffles Buy Now
  • 1/3 cup apple butter
  • 6 slices bacon, crisp-cooked, drained and cut in half
  • 6 thin slices white cheddar cheese (about 3 oz. total), divided
  • 12 very thin slices apple (about 1/3 of large apple total)
  • 4 teaspoons butter, divided


1. Stack KELLOGG’S EGGO Homestyle waffles on large microwave-safe plate. Microwave, uncovered, on high about 30 seconds or until just thawed, rearranging every 10 seconds.

2. Spread apple butter on 3 of the waffles. Top with bacon pieces, 3 of the cheese slices, apple slices and the remaining 3 cheese slices. Top with the remaining 3 waffles, making sandwiches.

3. Meanwhile, in large nonstick skillet heat 1 tablespoon of the butter over medium-low heat until melted. Add sandwiches. Cook, covered, for 3 to 5 minutes or until golden brown. Turn sandwiches. Add the remaining 1 teaspoon butter to skillet, lifting the edges of the waffles to allow the butter to run under the sandwiches. Cover and cook for 3 to 4 minutes more or until golden brown and cheese is melted.

4. Cut sandwiches in half. Serve warm.
