Stacked Ham and Gruyére Sandwiches

Make these hot ham sandwiches with your favorite cheese. The spicy mustard and caraway seeds taste great with all of them.

  • 1/4 cup spicy brown mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 3/4 pound shaved or very thinly sliced deli ham
  • 1 1/2 cups (6 oz.) shredded Gruyére, Swiss, cheddar, mozzarella or provolone cheese


1. Stack KELLOGG’S EGGO Homestyle waffles on large microwave-safe plate. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 20 to 40 seconds or until just thawed, rearranging waffles every 10 seconds.

2. Spread mustard on 4 of the waffles. Sprinkle with caraway seeds. Stack with ham. Sprinkle with cheese. Top with the remaining 4 waffles, making sandwiches.

3. Individually wrap each sandwich in foil. Place on baking sheet. Bake at 400° for 20 to 25 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted.
