Sesame Speckled Saigon Burgers

Total Time: 20 minutes
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1/2 tsp Asian chili garlic paste
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 4 scallion stalks, lower third only, root cut off
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
- 4 leafs lettuce
Mix hoisin sauce, chili and sesame oil. Brush it on both sides of burger and place in bowl. Toss scallions into bowl. Let stand 15 minutes. Grease grill with oil, heat till medium hot. Grill burgers a few minutes on each side. Take care it does not burn. Grill scallions till lightly charred. Take burgers off grill. Sprinkle both sides with sesame seeds. Cut each burger in half. Spread a little more hoisin sauce on lettuce leaves, then wrap ½ burger and one scallion stalk in each leaf. Eat hot.
Kids love this finger food. Great for picnics and tailgating parties. Recipe can easily be doubled or tripled.
