  • 12 oz
  • 14.5 oz canned diced tomatoes
  • 1/8 tsp sea salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1/8 tsp garlic pepper
  • 1 cage-free beaten egg
  • 1/2 cup regular oatmeal (not quick oats)
  • 8 oz canned tomato sauce
  • 1/8 cup minced onion, if desired


Cook crumbles according to package directions and pre-heat oven to 360 degrees F. Mix all ingredients except the tomato sauce together in one medium-large bowl. You can also add one-eighth cup of minced onion, if desired. Spoon mixture into a greased 8x8 glass baking dish, ensuring that the mixture is evenly distributed. Top the mixture with the tomato sauce. Bake for approximately 85 minutes or until the center of the loaf is somewhat firm. Baking time may vary.

When checking for doneness, browned sides of the dish aren't reliable. Check bottom color of glass baking dish, which should be dark but not burned. Also check the middle of the dish, which should be somewhat firm.
